Problems I can help with

If your mind is involved in creating your problem then I can help you.  At my Marlow hypnotherapy clinic I offer the opportunity to resolve unwanted, behaviours and thought patterns.  Hypnotherapy can help anxiety, low self-esteem, phobias, depression, PTSD, motivation, weight management and so much more.

Anxiety, OCD & PTSD

Anxiety

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease accompanied by physical symptoms which can include a tight feeling in the chest or stomach, fast breathing, dry mouth and the inability to think clearly.  Some sufferers have anxiety about a forthcoming event and others find nothing in common in their bouts of anxiety.

When people are constantly anxious and on edge and it holds them back from enjoying life.

OCD and Panic attacks

A sudden overwhelming feeling of acute and disabling anxiety can result in a panic attack.  Physical symptoms can include breathlessness, racing heartbeat and trembling and this can last from 5 - 20 minutes and can be very frightening.

OCD is a form of anxiety when someone is caught in a cycle of obsessive and compulsive behaviour.  Obsessions are unwanted and include intrusive thoughts, images or urges that trigger intensely distressing feelings.

PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events.  A person can involuntarily and vividly relive the traumatic event through flashbacks, nightmares and images.  Symptoms can include feeling on edge, irritability, anxiety, Insomnia and depression,

Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K can resolve anxiety for good

Anxiety is caused by adrenaline entering your body, which is caused by a stress response known as the fight or flight response. This is a stress response that your body generates when it subconsciously senses danger.  The body has become confused about what is a real threat and what is not; and so, generates adrenaline at the wrong time, causing anxiety.

Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K we can find the subconscious reason for the unwanted and unnecessary anxiety.  Then we can update your subconscious mind so that it no longer generates the stress response for this reason.  Leaving you free and in control of your life to enjoy it and achieve your goals.

Of course when your body genuinely needs you to have the fight or flight response then it will.

With Reading and Marlow Hypnotherapy & PSYCH-K we can update your subconscious mind to view your new lifestyle as pleasure and not pain.  When this is done it means that the new diet and exercise habits will be seen as enjoyable and pleasurable.  They will just happened naturally, no will power required!

Weight loss

Did you know that over 90% of behaviour is controlled by the subconscious part of the mind?  Your subconscious mind creates thoughts and beliefs that drive your behaviour.

When you change what the subconscious mind believes your behaviour will change as a result.  Together we will do this. The combination of Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K makes this the best hypnosis and weight loss package.

Why is will power not enough?

You may currently find that you stick to your healthy diet and exercise for a while but something happens and before you know it you've fallen off the wagon.

This is because your subconscious mind (which is the one in charge) will always steer you towards pleasure and away from pain.  If your subconscious mind views the new diet and exercise as pain then it won't be long before it finds something to give it pleasure instead.  This could include eating chocolate or pizza and finding reasons not to exercise.  Will power is great but it’s only available in small doses so don't beat yourself up!

Weight loss hypnosis MP3

"So much happier and healthier..."

I believe that you have everything within you to make this change.  You only need a desire to change and commitment to the programme.

Read the hypnosis for weight loss reviews and see what people are saying...

No will power required!

"I was a complete sceptic about PSYCH-K but... feel a difference in... my emotional approach to eating! "

As part of this hypnotherapy weight loss program, I provide a weight loss hypnosis MP3 especially for you.

Low self-esteem

The emotion generated from not liking yourself or believing that you are not lovable can pull you down like water in a whirlpool.  The relationship that you have with yourself is at the centre of every decision you make and it can prevent you from doing so much.

"What the thinker thinks, the prover proves!".

An example of this saying could be when you sit down next to a stranger at a party and then, they get up and leave.  Your brain may think 'they left because of me.'  It's more likely that they left to get another drink but your mind would never consider that possibility because the brain likes to prove what it thinks is correct.  It searches for evidence to prove its point.

Read about PSYCH-K® and how changing just one belief can greatly improve your self-esteem and happiness.

Phobias & flying

A phobia is an overwhelming and debilitating fear of an object,

situation or animal/person.  Phobias include fear of flying, snakes, heights, death, needles, bees, birds, crowds, small spaces, getting a serious illness, dying, zips, mushrooms and much more.

At some point in your life, probably unknown to you why or how it happened, your subconscious mind decided it was a good thing to keep you away from the offending item.  This is because your subconscious is always trying to protect you and keep you safe, as described on the fight or flight response page.

All that needs to be done is to update your subconscious with the accurate and relevant information.  This will allow you to feel and think differently and your phobia will cease to be a problem.

Stop Smoking & bad habits

Are you motivated to stop smoking in order to be healthier, live longer, get fitter or play with your children?

Despite these wonderful incentives do you continue to smoke and find it impossible to stop smoking?

Lesson one - It's not your fault!!

When you understand the conflict that nicotine creates in your brain when your tring to give up will understand why will power is so often not enough alone.

At my Caversham, Reading & Marlow Hypnotherapy clinics I can help you to achieve lasting change and stop smoking for good without cravings.

I offer a stop smoking package which includes a 2-hour session and a 1 hour follow up session at a later date if you feel you need it.

If you really want to give up then call me today and start living your life as a non-smoker and quit smoking for good.

Are there moments when you're railroaded into doing something that you don't want to and you don't understand why you're doing it?

Such behaviour includes sabotaging relationships, worrying excessively, over eating, nail biting, hair pulling to name but a few.

Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K® we can update the underlying subconscious belief that is driving the behaviour and so permanent change is achieved.

Depression & sadness

Here are some common symptoms of depression:

1. Sadness and low mood on a regular basis

2. A general loss of interest in things

3. Normal daily tasks feel exhausting

4. Changes in sleep patterns

5. Poor concentration

7. Problems with decision making

6. Feeling very restless or impatient

8. Developing an unhelpful focus on death

9. Feeling worthless or guilty

10. Self-medication: using alcohol, cigarettes or other drugs more than usual

If you are suffering from symptoms of depression or sadness then call me to explore what Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K can do for you.

I can help you to update your subconscious beliefs.  Beliefs drive behaviour.  Which means, if you have enabling beliefs then your conscious behaviour will enable you to achieve your goals.

You could notice more and more light at the end of the tunnel as you look forward to more and more of what life can offer.

Anger and resentment

When your mind is consumed by these negative emotions you spend time ruminating on why and how you came to feel like this.  These thoughts can be all consuming and it can lead to feeling unlucky, like a victim, foolish, irritable and frustrated.

Causes of anger and resentment include relationship breakdown, illness, trauma, abuse, fraud or any other life changing event.  When in this state of mind, the positive people and events around you can be over looked or taken for granted.

It feels like this feeling will never change or go away.  Peace and non-attachment to these feelings seem impossible.  Yet with PSYCH-K it is possible in a short space of time to release these feelings and enjoy peace and non-attachment.

Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.

Fear of public speaking

Wedding speech

Do you have a forthcoming speech to make and dread it?   Are you worried about it not being clear, loud or well delivered?

If the mere thought makes you feel anxious then help is at hand.  It usually only takes between 4-6 sessions to resolve a problem like this.

When the limiting beliefs that are holding you back are removed, you can present successfully.  Most people say they really enjoyed delivering the speech and were very happy with how it went.

Presentations and meetings

Do you hate speaking in front of a large group at work? Maybe 4 or 5 people in an audience feel okay but no more.  Are you holding back from going for promotion because that job would involve presentations or leading meetings?  Would you rather feel confident, look assertive and no longer worry about going blank at that crucial moment?

The physical sensations experienced when you feel this fear and lack of ability are overwhelming.  Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K can help you to remove all of these feelings and allow you to enjoy the sense of achievement when you know that it went well.

"I wanted the speech to be perfect... When the time came I was actually looking forward to it and even managed to ad lib a couple of bits. I felt great and stood up feeling confident..."

Grief

What is Grief?

Grief is the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away.  Often, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming.  Emotions can range from shock or anger to disbelief, guilt and profound sadness.

For a detailed explanation of symptoms see: https://www.helpguide.org/articles/grief/coping-with-grief-and-loss.htm

If the grief is prolonged and affecting your life I can help you

Grief is an important part of the healing process and everyone is different in the way and the length of time in which they grieve.  If your grief is prolonged and is negatively impacting your daily life then I can help you.

Using PSYCH-K we can transform the perception of a stressful event, such as a death or loss.  You can start to think of the death or loss without experiencing the negative emotion that once accompanied it.  This can mean the uncontrollable tears stop, the heart ache feels peaceful or the guilt subsides.  The world can seem a safer, brighter and more peaceful place.

If you want to start living life again and find pleasure in the things you used to enjoy then contact me to discuss how I can help. You can once again start to notice positives, opportunities and gifts that life has to offer.

Insomnia symptoms include:

  • finding it hard to get to sleep
  • lying awake at night for a hours
  • waking up several times during the night
  • waking up early and unable to go back to sleep

Insomnia

What is Insomnia?

How PSYCH-K & Hypnotherapy can help

You have probably already done this but you should check that you are practicing good sleep hygiene. This includes no caffeine or stimulants before bed, dark room, comfortable bed, and the correct temperature in the bedroom.

When you are doing this but still can't sleep, then we can update your subconscious mind.  We begin by resolving worry and stress.

Stress can prevent the production of Alpha brainwaves, which is what we need to fall asleep.  I'll give you a personal MP3 to listen to before bed which will help the mind to relax and move into this state.

Then we can give the subconscious the beliefs it needs to enjoy a good night’s sleep. That means getting to sleep and staying asleep.

Interviews

Imagine how things would go for you at your interview if you came across confidently and spoke eloquently about your subject.  Your physiology would be tall, your manner would be assertive, knowledgeable and friendly.  Nerves and moments of going blank or rambling would no longer hold you back or hijack you into saying the wrong thing.

Recruiters are human so they make decisions based on conscious and unconscious information from their brain.  The conscious brain appraises the usual information given by the candidate; punctuality, C.V, experience but that's only half the story.

The unconscious part of the brain picks up on over 2 million pieces of information every moment.  This is what is responsible for that gut feeling people have when they meet someone.  This means that the interviewer will have a gut feeling about you based on your subconscious behaviour.  These include the way you enter the room, posture, confidence, handshake, eye contact, tone of voice, smile and the list goes on.

All of this comes from within, when your unconscious belief about yourself and your ability is good then the way you come across it good.

Using Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K I can help you to improve this.  Give an amazing interview and give yourself the best chance of getting the job you deserve.

Exam and pre-event nerves

Some people sail through exams, while others find them so scary, they can't eat or sleep during the run up to them.  They have physical symptoms in their stomach, dry mouth, can't concentrate during the exam and their minds go blank.  There are many other symptoms and each sufferer has their own unique collection.

By installing a new belief in the subconscious part of the mind you are able to think and behave differently. Find out more about changing subconscious beliefs with PSYCH-K®.

Lack of confidence

Failure to speak up in, missed opportunities, not asking that person out.

Does this sound familiar?  The result is often watching someone who is not as competent as you doing those things instead.

Constantly missing out because of your lack of confidence can leave you feeling lonely, left out, not as good as others. These types of feelings compact the initial subconscious belief that led to the problem.

Perhaps you are already confident except in certain circumstances, when you are unable to function as you do normally.  It might only be in certain places or with certain people when you lack confidence.

We can get to the root of the problem and change it so that you can enjoy confidence in your life.  Don't let this hold you back any more. Life is too short.

If you woke up tomorrow and felt good about yourself confident what would you do

Children and teenagers

A little apprehension is a natural part of life but if anxiety or fears impact the lives of young people then together, we can change this.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy and PSYCH-K can help your child become free to enjoy life with confidence, rather than being held back by their problem.  Young people enjoy the process and confidence and self-belief are instilled easily and effortlessly.

Problems can include phobias, anxiety, fear of speaking up and exam stress.

These problems can stop children from answering questions in class or voicing their opinion amongst

their peers.  This can lead to a general lack of confidence in life and low self-esteem.

Phobias include, but are no means limited to, an irrational fear of dogs, spiders, needles, heights, busy places, zips, deep water and much more.

I have helped many children and teenagers and as a mother I understand how important it is for young people to feel confident and happy.  I have a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate, formally known as a CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau).

"I took my 12 year old daughter to see Samantha after she started to get anxious... She came out of the session feeling much "lighter" in her words and we were amazed by the results which have been long lasting!"
