Depression & sadness

Depression and sadness are common mental health challenges that can significantly impact a person's quality of life. While sadness is a natural human emotion that comes and goes, depression is a persistent and intense state of low mood, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, and a range of associated emotional and physical problems.

Symptoms of depression can include feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt, loss of energy, difficulty concentrating, changes in appetite and sleep patterns, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide. Depression is more than just feeling sad or "blue" for a few days – it is a serious condition that requires professional treatment.

If you're struggling with depression or overwhelming sadness, know that there is hope and help available. As a therapist offering Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and PSYCH-K, I utilise various therapeutic techniques to help clients overcome these challenges by changing how they think, feel, and behave at a subconscious level.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), hypnosis and NLP to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to depression and sadness. By accessing the subconscious mind through hypnosis, this approach can facilitate lasting positive changes in emotions, behaviours, and perspectives.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a powerful methodology that explores the relationship between our thoughts, language, and behaviours. NLP techniques can help individuals develop more empowering beliefs, improve emotional regulation, and achieve desired changes in their lives.

PSYCH-K is a unique process that helps to reprogram limiting subconscious beliefs and patterns. By directly communicating with the subconscious mind, PSYCH-K can facilitate the release of beliefs and emotional blocks that may be contributing to depression or sadness.

Through these holistic and integrative approaches, I aim to help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, develop more positive and empowering beliefs and mindsets, and ultimately experience lasting emotional freedom and well-being.

If you or someone you know is struggling with depression, sadness, or other mental health challenges, reach out for support. A brighter, more fulfilling life is possible.

"I went to see Samantha after suffering a severe period of depression and anxiety that lasted several months... my mood had lifted, I had more motivation, I was getting excited about things for the first time in months...I cannot thank her enough for how much she has helped me..."
